Tree Art is located in Pigeon Forge, TN.
We are 1.5 miles off the parkway, on the left,
next to the Eagle’s Nest Campground.
The owners of Tree Art are Erv & Holli Doane. Erv is a musician turned chainsaw artist with over 20 years experience. He got his start in Florida making marine life sculpture in Cocoa Beach, but a vacation to the Smokies changed all that.
He and his wife decided to escape the heat and started spending half the year in Pigeon Forge carving animals native to the area such as bears, eagles and raccoons. After several years of going back and forth, they decided to buy a log home in the mountains and concentrate their efforts full time in Tennessee.
Holli works in the business also, but not with the chainsaw. After Erv finishes the majority of the sculpture with the chainsaw, she then refines each piece with her own arsenal of power tools such as dremels and sanders. This is what separates them from a lot of other chainsaw carving operations, she is able to add a lot more detail to the sculptures, resulting in a beautifully detailed work of art. She also does the painting and staining which really brings them to life.
Be sure to stop in and see them on your next visit to the area, they would love to meet you!
